Tis the season to be stressed out!

I love Christmas because ultimately its about our Savior's birth and the fact that God sent His only Son for us. So if Jesus is the reason for the season, then why do I let myself get worked up, run down, and stress out over stupid stuff!?

Pondering all of life's little mysteries....

Feeling that Christmas Spirit!

As the Christmas season has rolled around, I have been unbelievably busy! Talk about some photography!! This past weekend was a blast. I have taken several family portraits for Christmas cards, presents, and many other things that can be imagined. :) The weather was beautiful, the lighting was beautiful, and the families were all beautiful! Here are a few of the inspiring shots that I took this weekend! Enjoy!

For Every Mountain....

I've been drawing inspiration from a lot of songs lately. Today on my way to church, I had a sweet moment with the Lord while listening to Kurt Carr's "For Every Mountain". The lyrics go a little something like this:

For Every Mountain
You've brought me over,
For every trial
You've seen me through
For every blessing
Hallelujah
For this, I give you praise.

This morning I was truly reminded of all the things that God has done for me lately. He's brought me over some pretty large mountains (He provided me a job, he gives me numerous opportunities to grow my business...), brought me through some trials, and definitely poured out infinite blessings. But I realized something so profound this morning.

Even if He did none of those things, I would still praise Him.

The ultimate price he paid for me on the cross is more than enough reason for me to praise him. I don't praise Him because of what he's done, I praise Him for who He is.

Faithful to the End

He's Faithful to the End
Faithful to my heart
Faithful to the end
He will come and marry me.....

Such revelation and comfort in those words. I was talking to my mom today about this particular song, and I feel like as a body we always jump to "He will come and marry me" which is stinkin awesome, but I believe the best part is that He's faithful to the end. Have you ever stopped to really and truly think about what that means?

He's faithful to the end.

This means that He is faithful to every promise that He's ever made, not to just the promise that He's returning, but to all the promises that He's made before then. The promises that He'll never leave you, He'll defend you, He'll love you, He'll encourage you, He'll provide for you, He'll encompass you and give you a refuge, He'll strengthen you when you feel weak, He'll always have your best interest at heart. I could go on and on and on and on and on. And don't get me wrong the ultimate promise is that He's returning for His bride, and for that I am most excited, but it's the times when I'm down and out that I remember all the things that God has promised me specifically, and when those come to pass I am forever reminded of His faithfulness to me.

I am so fully in love with the Father and when I stop and take the time to remember His faithfulness, I am encouraged. May you be encouraged by His faithfulness today. And remember if you are looking for the promises of God, you will find hundreds of thousands of them integrated into His Word. Dig in deeper and step into the promises that God has for you!

He's faithful to the end.

October!

Man do I just love the feeling of FALL! The leaves are changing and the air is nice and brisk. After being in Florida for four years, experiencing seasons is a wonderful experience. To all my Florida friends, you really do not know what you are missing.

September and October have been the busiest mo
nths of my life. For awhile, I was working four jobs (I truthfully would not recommend it.), trying to be a good daughter, girlfriend, and person.

Now I am proud to say that I am down to 3 jobs that I absolutely love. Teaching is the most rewarding job on the planet. There is something about the encouraging words of children that make life worthwhile.

Photography is booming. My business is really taking off, which is awesome! Right now I am building clients, and they are all AWESOME!! Here are some sneak preview pictures from the Turner Family Portraits! Man were they a fun bunch to hang out with for two hours.
We spent a Sunday afternoon in downtown Buford. I was pleasantly surprised with all of the awesome locations that I found. From the train tracks to back alleys, there are a million different ideas that spring up in your head when you are somewhere so scenic.

I'm also excited about some upcoming locations. I'm venturing upstate to Amicolola State Park to take the Watson family portraits, and that is truly going to be exciting! It will be my first time shooting in that location, but with the leaves changing it is going to be GORGEOUS!

Life is pretty solid. I'm updating my blog for those "A-Listers" out there...you know who you are! :) I will hopefully be blogging again soon! :)

Falcons Game!

Man! Did I have a great weekend!  I have the most wonderful boyfriend ever.  He astounds me! And because he does such an awesome job at his job, they gave him box seats to the Falcons game.  ANNNNNd of all the people he could have picked to take, he PICKED me!  I was so excited.  It was my first NFL game ever, and I was watching from VIP seating.

Before we made it to the game, I had a mild panic attack (ok truthfully it was a pretty severe panic attack.)  Joe gave me the tickets to put in my purse.  Well me being the dummy that I am, just placed them in my lap.  We stopped at Kroger on the way to the game, and when I got out of the car the tickets got out with me.  We did our business in Kroger, got on the road, and I realized that low and behold the tickets were not in the car.

At this point, my panic attack was in full swing, and I was convinced that I was going to throw up all over Joe's car.  Luckily we weren't far from Kroger, so  we drove back.  I was praying so hard that those tickets would be there when we got there.

As we drove into the parking lot and arrived at the spot that we had previously been parked, there were NO tickets on the ground.   Right as we were moving to pull away, behold I noticed some paper underneath the car next to us.   I hopped out of the car, and sure enough both of our tickets were there.  That is what I call the power of prayer.  Keep in mind that Joe has not spoken 2 words to me the entire time.  I think he was trying not to explode so he just didn't say anything.  He really was shaken up about the whole thing until kickoff two hours later.

Needless to say we made it to the game safe and sound and with the tickets!  The box seats were AWESOME!  We had FREE all you can eat food, the view was great, private bathrooms, and free beer (which neither of us had, but it was a suite amenity which is why I mentioned it).  We met some really awesome people, ate really awesome food, and really had just an all together awesome time!

Here are some of the pictures from the game! :)

Photography thus far....

So my photography business is doing pretty good!  I'm wanting to change my website (www.refocusphoto.com) to a more professional looking one.  The one I built is ok but I want a better one.  So here are some pics from J.T. and Virginia's engagement stuff- They turned out awesome!
I did some pics for the Bradford family as well! Here they are!
